Let the State Government
Know of Your Concern for Our Lake

We're all aware of the possible demolition of the Dam at Hereford Manor Lake. We encourage you to make State officials aware of your support for for the renovation of the dam, in order to preserve Hereford Manor Lake. You can do this by writing to the Governor, our State Senator, and our State Representative. We've included sample letter to the Governor, and addresses of our legislators below:

Pennsylvania’s Governor July 19, 2010
The Honorable Edward G. Rendell
225 Main Capitol Building
Harrisburg, PA 17120

SUBJECT: Hereford Manor Lake

Dear Governor Rendell:

I am writing to voice my support for the conservation and preservation of the Hereford Manor Lake region. I would like you to keep it as it is…or make it better!

In these tough economic times, please don’t allow anyone to spend money foolishly to knock down these dams that have been in place for 60 years! I understand there is a Federal Program Title IV that provides funds to reclaim former strip-mined areas. I encourage you develop a plan for the use of these funds to keep the Hereford Manor Lake region as a green-space for generations to come.

Sincerely,
